The Urology Unit has been included in the Specialist Surgical Department and shares its inpatient beds with the Maxillofacial Surgery Unit. Besides the performance of traditional surgery this Unit has an independent unit for endoscopic procedures, both diagnostic and surgical, as well as for outpatients, which, besides the activities connected to the Casualty and the CUP [Centro Unico Prenotazioni] foresees a super-specialist clinic for urological oncology, prostatic hyperplasia, incontinence disorders, and andrology. The Unit is equipped with modern diagnostic equipment that includes dedicated multi-functional sonography (donation from the Pio Istituto De Ferrari Brignole Sale in Voltaggio Foundation), uro-dynamic equipment and a Holmium Laser.
