Radiotherapy Unit - S.C. Radioterapia
The Radiotherapy Unit at the Galliera Hospital, established as an independent clinic as early as 1969 and standing out for its innovations in technology and treatment methods, features 3 Linear Accelerators, 2 Multi-Leaf Collimators and 1 Micro Multi-Leaf Collimator for beam conformation, 3 Digital Field Imagers, 1 Digital Simulator and 1 CT/PET Simulator. Treatment, planned according to three-dimensional dose optimisation criteria, together with computerised management and accelerator safety criteria, can only be administered when every set parameter corresponds to the approved plan. Special techniques include Total cutaneous electron beam radiation, Stereotactic Radiotherapy techniques and prostate Brachytherapy.
