Anaesthesia and Intensive Care Unit - S.C. Anestesia e rianimazione
The Anaesthesia and Intensive Care Unit is comprised of 32 Physicians and 25 Nursing Care Staff for Intensive Care, 65 Nursing Care Staff for the Operating Block, 1 Physician for Day Surgery and 10 Nursing Care Staff for its management. There are 7 Intensive Care beds equipped with cutting edge mechanical respiration units, and advanced monitors and controls. Critical care patients, who either require artificial life support to ensure vital functions and/or who require precise monitoring enabling timely therapy modification, are brought to the Unit. The Unit is multidisciplinary and is distinguished by a high degree of specialisation for the treatment of many different pathologies.
