Day surgery Unit - S.S.C. Day surgery e Chirurgia breve
For day surgery, what is meant is, the clinical, organisational and administrative feasibility of performing the surgical and diagnostic and/or invasive or semi-invasive therapeutic procedures under an admission regime limited to the hours of the same day or with possible overnight stay (one day surgery) with local, regional and general anaesthesia.
"Day surgery" is a health care service with significant advantages for patients: it reduces the discomfort of hospitalisation to a minimum as well as detachment from the home environment; it enables a minimal change in daily habits and an early return to one’s daily activities maintaining the same quality and safety standards as normal surgical admission.
The Unit is certified ISO 9001 by CSQ.
