Urgent Medicine and Surgery Unit - S.C. Medicina e chirurgia d'accettazione e d'urgenza (Pronto soccorso)
The Reception and Urgent Medicine and Surgery Unit comprises Casualty, Short-term Intensive Observation (OBI) and Short Stay. The staff includes specialists in various fields who are trained and updated as regards emergency medicine, promoting the continuous exchange of skills and specific experiences. The new structure, featuring a more rational division of the spaces, has made it possible to increase the number of duty staff, to change work organisation according to more modern criteria and to provide patients and their accompaniers with more adequate and comfortable living areas.
